For Sale: Seymour Duncan Customshop Humbucker sized Singlecoils

Almost eight years ago I had MJ and Derek make me a set of singlecoils in humbucker shape. We started with alnico slugs as well as bar magnets, and then started with 43awg up until +- 7k, then topped it off with 42 awg for again 7k. Two coils inside of each other. You can tap between tele and p90. These pickups are unique, one of a kind.

Why I'm selling? Simple. I don't like singlecoils.

I'm asking 250E for these, I still have the box. These pickups are so unique and so special, I can't go under 250E for this set. And, signed by MJ and Derek, although Derek's signature has faded quite a bit (use a waterproof sharpie next time, Derek! )

I was thinking exactly the same thing, my SG. But it is black and silver.

Oh, good question. They're huge pieces of flatwork, like a strat single. You need the cover tor keep it together. The bobbins are tall! But...

I believe I still have their chrome covers as well! Got two sets of covers, way back when. The spacing is traditional, so a phat cat (style) cover will fit.

They're not hum cancelling, because to reverse wind them proved impossible.

They're a 3 conductor wire: 1 ground and 2 leads (1 per coil). You cannot put the tele and p90 coil in series. MJ told me that would lead to phase issues.

If the potential buyer wants chrome or nickel covers. I'll be happy to swap the covers.
