For the Andy Timmons challenged people;)

Re: For the Andy Timmons challenged people;)

Totally. I heared he wanted to put a new album out in 2005 but till this day nothing happened. =/

And his page could be updated more regularly.

Edit: His page is up-to-date. Album should come this spring.

You know what I love about this guy? He ain't "over the top". He isn't Satch. He isn't Vai.
He isn't Cooley, et al. He's just a straight forward git-picker. Just some "nice" hot licks.

I need some CD's. ;)

Thanks for sharing this.

is he using all singles on this tune? There's twang, but they sustain nicely, I like that tone.

isn't Andy Timmons using a Laney GH100L? That's what I heard.

According to his website, along with some other amps, it's the VH100R (the one we have:) ) I'll tell you what, neither my son or I sound like he does through it though :eek13: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Nah, you don't have his fingers :laugh2: It's just because his tone reminded me about Paul Gilbert/Racer X tone, and he's using the Laney GH100L (or GH50L), but as far as I know the drive channel on the GH and VH series is the same.

Sounds like his sig model Ibanez to me (H-S-S setup). I've got a video of him playing a clinic, he goes through 5 or 6 songs, this one is the first and it sounds exactly like this. Really awesome player, one of my favorite instrumental rockers.

I highly recommend his album "Ear X-tacy", it might take some digging but you can find it, and it's killer.

EDIT: Give me a minute, and I'll upload the video and post a link.

Timmons Rules...PERIOD. he's a killer player and a real class act. I highly reccomend his "That was Then annd This is Now" cd as well as his authorized live Bootleg DVD

Thanks Rid, for introducing his music to me. I've never heard his music, I only know him by name cause he has a signature Ibanez.

That's a great vid, FretFire. Thanks for uploading it!
