How do you get them to take them back?

I'm past my duncan 21 day trade in period where seymour will exchange your pickups for any other ones of your choice, but i'm still within my 30 days at guitar center. I want to take them back because they are not the sound i want, and curious how you guys managed to get them to take your used pickups back for instore credit?

thanks

doesnt GC have a 30 day satisfaction guarentee on all their broducts? this means that if you dont like it any more after 30 days, no matter what, you can return it. (well, not no matter what. if its broken you cant, but yours isnt broken is it?)

just tell them your not satisfied, and theill give you your money back. they have to.

I've taken full advantage of GC's return policy with no guilt whatsoever, based on how much business I've given them since I was 13......not to mention vacuuming their carpet every night when I worked there as a teen. LOL

My advise is to chop the lead right at the spot that's spliced. Then rub some wax in the bolt holes so it looks untampered. Using scotch tape that looks just like factory tape, seal the container, tell them you bought it for a project that was never realized, and demand store credit. It's maybe not the most honest thing in the world, but you're not hurting anyone, and the pickup is restored to sellable condition.

Maybe on pickups, but the 30 day return policy w/GC does not apply to all their items. Software is a good example of something that cannot returned.
Recording equipment, keyboards and much of the Pro Audio items have a 14 day return policy.

Just make sure you check when you buy a new pickup at GC that you don't actually get a used one. I bought a JB once from them once and luckily I checked it before I left. It was scratched up and had about 3 inches of lead left. They were trying to sell it as new!!
