My Ampeg VT-22 was a black-line Magnavox from the early 70's, and I bought it used. I put casters on it the week after. Still didn't help hauling it up and down the subway stairs... or on the bus.
Man, that driver looked like he wanted to kill me!
I swapped tubes until I couldn't find them any more (7027A's, anyone?). When it finally quit, on the countoff of a live show in NYC, I left it at the keyboard player's house.
I didn't get another big amp until my Classic 50-410. Sweet hernia, thy name is Peavey!
