I long ago stopped automatically equating what a guitar cost to how good it was. I have an 'Indio' tele that's quite nice, and a 'Grote' semi-hollow that's absolutely stunning. I've also had $$$$ guitars that disappointed.

If it intonates, plays cleanly at an acceptable action height and it sounds (or you can get it to sound) good, everything else is irrelevant.

Congrats on getting most of a new guitar. :)

Well it's here

I got the garish red and black one instead of the sunburst

Super light under 5 lbs
Tuners are great

No plastic on the pickups or back plate

Neck is nice and thin
no fret sprout
Frets arent tarnished as predicted
Was intonated when it arrived

Gonna need springs under the pickups to set the height

Needs new strings

Ill post pictures tomorrow

I think it can be converted to double ball

this one has the balls at the bridge
the other one has the balls at the end of the neck

if I swapped those two to the same guitar
then a double ball would work

depending on the nominal length of the double ball strings

The Chinese have figured out that a process that turns out quality instruments costs less than one that turns out junk.

On an aside, as there is no headstock, I have no idea what brand that is. If I saw you on stage, I might think that is a 3K guitar.

its light so it does feel "toyish"

this is the same as they say about the new Ibanez Q series headless
they are similarly light

i find the lighter to be more resonant in traditionally made guitars
time will tell on these

I like it , not a fan of the color scheme, but a rattle can will solve that

love the bridge over the ones on the Censtar (Eart, Lattitude, etc)
its more like the strat bridge with regular intonation system
again almost just like the Ibanez which is brilliant

I have measured the neck and while it is identical to the Censtar headless I have
it seems thinner and more comfortable
it may be just because the body is thinner and lighter that It just "feels" that way

weird

I plan to break it down this weekend
roll the fretboard edges
oil the fretboard
lower the action and install a new switch , for some reason this came with a three way blade instead of the 5 way blade

i may add a Piezo pickup and volume knob for it

I saw online where some folks go good results from a Piezo pad just glued to the pickup route

most reviews said the neck pocket causes handling noise as my move around

I will keep you posted
