thanks.... i have a 4 year old Stage 100 DSP head.... not that great.... another impulse buy and it was dirt cheap... Local shop cleared it out as they just could not sell it. I guess for a a few Hundred it was an OK buy for a 100 watt head with built in FX's..... it is kind of noisey and really noisey with the extra gain button on... So in the end i hardly use it, so why do i need it... I'll sell it soon...
The Ultimate Chorus amp has a ton more gain then the Stage and is much much much quieter.... the difference is night and day..... The Ultimate Chorus amp will not replace my tube amps of course but it is a nice SS for cleans and jamming thru... I'm going for a jam tomorrow with it.. a friend is playing with a drummer tomorrow and asked me to come along... so i need to learn a few songs in less then 24 hours... plus i work tonight..
Since i brought this amp home the smoke smell has drivin my sinus nuts... It's in my bedroom and every morning i wake up stuffed up full! Guess i'll have to clean it some more and maybe store it in the basement for a few months... I had a problem with a car once that allowed some mistery source exhuast or gas fumes into the car and i was getting mildly sick... yet none of the many mechanics could find the cause.. so i bought a new car but since then i am extremely sensitive to smoke and gas smells.. Filling the lawnmower with gas sometimes makes me feel i have to get a away from it or i'll stop breathing... So i guess it's no surprise this amps smell is driving me nuts.

he he he... i used this Ultimate Chorus amp at a jam last night... It was loud enough, had the Volume under 2... the distortion was great for the Rush and other classic stuff we were playing... and the clean sounds blew some peoples minds.... The one thing i was missing was volume boost for solos... I have a wacky idea...
I'm planning on useing a good quality noise free A/B box when i can afford it and use my Princton chorus amp as a solo boost.... so i'll be playing with the Ultimate chorus amp mainly and turn the Princton on just for solo boosts.... hope it works out... It should!

one of the guys i was jamming with is now looking to get his hands on an Ultimate Chorus amp.... ha ha ha... he said to me today that he could not believe how sweet it sounded... I better stop using it as i bet the prices will go up and they will get hard to find
