Found this BC rich

Cleaning out a new house my bud just bought, i believe its an st-III but im tryin to figure out what year and if its a decent guitar and all that... Any help would seriously be appreciated.

Looks like its been stripped but other than that seems solid. I would build the frack outta it...

Dating it is pretty hard.. The serial numbers were assigned at random. There would be a box full of neck plates in the shop and people would just grab them at will and slap them on a guitar as it was assembled.

Late 80's B.C. Rich USA ST-III would be my guess; great necks on those...build it out with electronics and you'll have a very nice player !!!

The POTENTIAL for finishes on that body are just staggering….

Solid Neon?
Metal Flake?
Bullseye?
Irridescent Flip-flop?
Japanese Flag?
Tiger Stripe?
Graphic Image?
Airbrushed Album Cover?

The list can go on…..

Then there are pickups!

For some reason the 2 finishes that stick in my mind on those guitars are either crackle or

My ST-III is snakeskin.

I'd say it's a descent guitar.

She looks good without all the makeup, so I wouldn't give her the Madonna neon green bustier treatment to be period correct.

The 'Made in USA' on the headstock makes it '86 or later, and it's likely prior to Class Axe which would've been '89 if I remember correctly. Unfortunately as has been said before, B.C. Rich doesn't really have a reliable serial number history.

Ah arite thanks for the info guys, so its an 80s then i guess, with the three switches and the b2xxx serial, but yeah cant wait to ser how she sounds, but yeah i guess the ppl just left it behind... a while ago i got this old Magnatone at a garage sale for 20$, its crazy what ppl get rid of, anyone ever seen one of these?
