four conductor tape alternative

I installed four conductor pickups in 335-like guitar and taped off the unused leads, dutifully following the instructions provided.

I looked at the tape and wondered whether it would last years, months, weeks or days. It lasted weeks.

What is a better alternative than tape for terminating the unused leads on four conductor wiring.

There's more work involved with 355-like project, so I would prefer to do re-do this only one more time.

Solder the leads together and apply heatshrink tubing.

Re: four conductor tape alternative

Agree with above. Solder and heatshrink. But as an alternative, there are also liquid insulating compounds that would work well. Commonly called "liquid electrical tape". I only mention it as an alternative, given your situation. It may or may not be an easier solution for you.

Exactly what I do. It lasts decades (so far).
