Fox 13 Memphis gig

I'll be playing some slide & stuff on Fox 13 Memphis this Friday between 7am and 9am. I'll be backing Martin Anderson along with the band. Its a plum of a gig, with a viewing audience of about 2 million or so. Lots of visibility. I'll be spankin' the plank with the Tele and the Bogner. If you're in the area, check it out! We are bringing some digital camcorders plus a laptop loaded with protools, so maybe I can get a good pro quality audio/video for you to check out soon.

Sounds like a good time. Won't be able to view, being a foriegner and all, so hopefully you'll get some good footage...

Hey, I'll try to keep an eye out for you. I live in the Northeast part of Arkansas and we actually get that channel (I usually watch ABC). Do you know if you will be on camera? Good luck!

Dang it! I'm just out of range. Like Naps, I got that station when I was in Jonesboro, but Little Rock is just a bit too far. Sounds fun, though. Give Memphis a proper introduction to that Bogner!

I'm going to try to get the audio/video stuff onto the website. Has anyone ever done that? Do you need special software to do it?

I'll try to catch it, Randy, although my eyes will barely focus before 7:30 or so. :grumble:

You weren't on the show where the guy asked the two acousitic players to play "Comfortably Numb" when they were going to play "A Day in the Life," are you? I looked at your profile and you kind of look like that guy. :offtopic:

Randy,

I managed to tune in just in time to hear the last number. Nice slide work and tasty fills! I wish I had heard more of it. Man, you looked serious -- but I'm sure I would have, too. Nice work!

no, I think that we may have played on a different show and I'm mistaken...we played at whichever one films inside the Peabody Place...not sure which channel that is

Hi Kelsey,
Yeah, we were able to play 1 full song at the very end. It was a decent gig, but we had cb radios bleeding through the system, and ants crawling all over the gear!!! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: We did 4 or 5 out-takes, and that one full number. I was kinda ready for it to get over with. You can't ever tell what you're walking into when you do a live TV gig, especially when its outside. Up at 4am, soundcheck at 6am, "okay, now just play the 1st verse and the hook.... 3, 2, 1 :32: :32: :32: "
