Freaking GASing again - Fender Bassman Amp Head

Securb

One of Jerry's Kids
I am GASing for a Fender Bassman Amp Head. I can use it for guitar of course. I also have a killer custom 4x12 Vintage Ampeg cab loaded with shiny new Celestion Pulse bass speakers. My only other bass amp is my 20 watt Peavy practice amp. Don't try to talk me away from the ledge I think I am going in. The only question in my mind is do I want the 50-watt or 100-watt, master or non-master.

I am leaning this way

I have an Accoustic B300h: 300W can be set up as master or slave, has clean, overdrive channels and a really fancy tone control set up.

What are you intending to use it for? Bass eats up headroom like nothing else, so I seriously doubt that either will be loud enough to hang with a drummer and your DSL 100 and be anything remotely close to clean.

Hey man, this place has been on a run of awesome head....

Don't stop the streak now!

I have a freshly teched silver front Bassman head if you're interested.... Cabinet, too... PM me.

for real bass duty you dont need the 50 or 100 watter.
You need one of these 300watt tube beasts:

You and me both... but not for bass. ;)

Late 60's/Early 70's 50W head is always on my GAS list.

Worst case I would put a DI on it and send it through the PA. I think for what I do in my basement it will be more than loud enough for the occasional bass player that comes over to jam. My bass player brings his own head and uses my cab.

Yeah, this thing is going to be 80% guitar 20% bass so I am not worring about blowing the roof off with it.
