PRS DGT-15 vs Peavey Classic 20 MH Guitar Mini Amp Head

On a side note to all the talk of classic series circuit board reliability, i have a "series II" classic 30, which i believe debuted around 2013 tho i may be a bit off. But they revamped the amp with quite a few circuit changes, made the boost function foot switchable, added a standby switch, and most notably they tossed out that ridiculous 3 sided circuit board with dozens of solid wire jumpers that would break and render the amp useless at the most inopportune time. It's now a single board and a FAR better quality one at that. It now sports a celestion, and the tone is much better then the old ones. There IS a trick to making them sound even better, but they sound great as is. Just need to replace the horrid sounding sovteks for some JJs and the amp is a whole new one The JJ preamps aren't the best sounding either but not bad. I dunno why they put sovteks in the power amp and JJs in the pre, unless the previous owner changed the pre or power tubes. (mine is 1 year old but bought used/mint) Anyways, with a few changes i honestly get tones that rival some of the best amps i've had. I had 2 USA 30s from early on but this is a much better amp.

I played through Securb's Peavey head a while back and I really liked it too. Great crisp crunchy tones. I would love to have one. The only "negative" that I've heard about them was from an amp guy who says they're difficult to work on without damaging them because of the way the PCBs are put together.
That seems to be an issue mainly with the Classic 30 combos, James Brown who designed that amp talks about that in the excellent Tone Talk episode he was featured on. He wanted to try to fix that issue but Hartley was adamant that the new selling price be $399 (at that time for a USA built amp an insane value), and that meant he couldn't do a redesign. Not sure if the 20w heads have an issue too, but they are absolutely fantastic sounding amps, great cleans and overdrive sounds and they have enough gain for hard rock and even old school heavy metal.
