Hi, I probably should have just put this in the karma thread but I've got a few Aluminum Stratocaster grounding plates I'm not going to be using anytime soon so if you want to build yourself a vintage correct Strat harness shoot me a P.M. & I'll send you one. First come first serve & I only have two for now, perhaps 3? Anyway I should be able to just put a couple stamps on an envelope to mail it so they are completely free....


Just a side note, if anyone ever needs random Fender parts, especially Strat parts it's worth asking me? I've literally got boxes of bits and pieces that I'm more than happy to give away. I'll only ask for $ if it cost me more than a couple of dollars to mail & if so just it would just be the shipping costs...

No, is an actual 1/8 in thick aluminum plate, instead of running a wire from pot to pot it grounds everything out, including the switch? In a typical or newer Strat the aluminum tape grounds the switch but if you don't run the wire from pot to pot it's going to be noisy as all heck!!! It's exactly what they used in vintage Stratocasters in the 50's??? They got rid of them to cut costs, 3-4 inches of wire is cheaper than buying aluminum sheet metal....

They couldn't be one eighth of an inch thick if they are vintage accurate. And were they full shields, or only control cavity shields? Also, are you accidentally hitting question marks when you mean to be hitting exclamation points or periods?

It's because I was using my stupid phone! They are probably closer to a 1/16 of an inch thick not a 1/8, I was in a hurry while I was writing it and correcting my grammar seemed irrelevant because they were gone already anyways???????????????????????????? Lol, I write like a teenage girl !!!!!!!!
