Ok, I listened again. I like it more each time. This is definitely one of the most tasteful guitar albums I've heard in a long time. I said it before, but I'll say it again, great guitar tone. The only thing I'm not crazy about are the drum sounds. They're a bit too polished sounding. That still did not prevent me from enjoying the album.
This would be a fantastic cd for guys who like guitar music, but get turned off by shred trickery. Mike, thanks again for a great cd, and I'll get the other two passed out asap.

Got two copies of them today. My first reaction is that I like the cover art a lot. It's not a full "hard" case but it's more like a "gift" case. But the art is very nice. Overall, all the songs seem to be moderate to fast and in a major key. That might not seem as good a variety, but I'll keep you posted. I'll bring it to work, and do a much better review when I get back from work. For now, though, a free CD, and with good instrumental guitar, I'm definitely happy about it, and I like it!

Very cool to have a whole CD of "standalone" guitar playing! (read: no vocals necessary to stay interested)
I passed mine out to a guitar guru in Blacksburg and and old musician in Richmond so you got about a 400 mile radius covered right here, and in the hands of the right folks too!

First off, it's an excellent set of songs. They may all be major key, which seems as if there's not much variety, but otherwise it sounds great. Also, his guitar tone is excellent. His playing isn't as full of impossible-to-play stuff like a Vai or Satriani album, but it has a good set of chops in it. I like it a lot! I'm definitely hooked on it!
So far, I ask people if they like it, and if they say they would buy it, I give them a copy. However, since I have only one copy and so far no one has said they'd buy it, I still have it. But the people I asked aren't guitar-heads like I am. I'll give it to my student: I know he'll like it.
