Free Pedal Day.

Swampy

Got this volume pedal from someone on a local Facebook musician exchange page. He says the main pot is a little scratchy and doesn't want to mess with it. Going to give the pots a good spraying with contact cleaner and see what happens.

I can't find any model numbers on it. Anyone know what model it is?

I do like free. Can't find my contact cleaner. It does have a little scratchiness near the bottom of the sweep. Other than that, seems to work good. And built like a frickin' tank.

Well, that is a good deal then.

Re: Free Pedal Day.

At the time is was called the Ernie Ball Volume Pedal. The knob next to the instrument Jack is for minimum volume.

From the EB website:
"My volume pedal sounds scratchy. What should I do?
It sounds like the potentiometer might need replacing. If your pedal is old or hasn't been used for a while, there might be some oxidation in the potentiometer. Often times you can work-out the scratchiness simply by rocking the pedal back and forth many times. Information on our rebuild program is addressed in a previous question."

You can buy replacement pots (I believe this is the one):
