Friend's help with Ibanez neck pickup

So a friend of mine has an Ibanez RG. It's a typical RG tremolo model with the basswood body and silver paintball finish. A little while ago I sold him an Evolution Bridge to replace the stock pickup and he really likes it, but now he wants advice on a Neck pickup. He says he wants something that can do clean but also leads. I'm not sure what reacts well with Basswood, but I suggested the '59, Pearly Gates or just the Evolution Neck. Any thoughts on those suggestions? Anything to add?

Among passive humbuckers, I've had Evolutions, Breeds, and Jazz in basswood RGs (and Jems), and I like the Breed the most. It's kind of PAF-voiced, but higher output. It's warm, fat, 3D, and responds very well to your playing dynamics. It's never muddy or shrieky; its sound is always too complex for that. It cleans up nicely, including with the volume control. I think it balances very will in basswood bodies with floating trems.

The Evolution neck is good, but I prefer to match the Evo bridge with a PAF Joe in an Ibby. The PAF Joe is fairly close to Duncan 59, but a little hotter (and it sounds like a DiMarzio).
