From which date did Duncan go lead free (RoHS)?

Basically as per title. If I see RoHS on a Duncan product, what's the limit on how old it can be?

Back story: Saw a guy selling AP2 claiming it was from mid-80s. It had RoHS sticker. I know RoHS only started being enforced around mid 2000s, I saw it trickle into my industry from around 2005-2006 or so, so I knew it wasn't an 80's pickup. But it made me wonder when Duncan starting complying.

Supplementary question - did any of the plastics used in bobbins or cables prior to RoHS contain PBB or PBDE?

Re: From which date did Duncan go lead free (RoHS)?

I can't comment on materials but when I started here 4 years ago it was a topic. My guess is that regardless of when a pickup of ours first became RoHS compliant, the addition of the sticker probably makes it no older than 4-5 years. There are other ways to tell the age. The newer sticker (that would have debuted near the time of the RoHS sticker) has codes on it that we can track to job orders or dates.

We signed our certificates of compliance on March 17 and 20, 2006.

Evan (and Frank), it's awesome as hell to get an answer about Duncan products that contains the word "we".
