2003 Gibson SG 1961 Reissue modded for P90's. If you like the SG Classic but maybe not the fat neck, then this is for you. 61RI's are great guitars with thin necks so this is unlike any of Gibson's offerings.

The humbucker routes were made slightly bigger to accommodate the P90's, so the use of a large pick guard is probably permanent, but can still hold P90's or humbuckers if you want to go back.

The bridge is a stock Gibson P90 which is fat and aggressive. The neck is a GFS vintage P90 that I prefer because its brighter with more Fenderish snap to it, it can get very stratty sounding. Pots are Bourns 500k and Orange Drop caps.

Condition is excellent, no damage, breaks or repairs. Finish is glossy and other than some pick swirls and an occasional pencil tip indentation, its surprisingly new looking for an 11 year old guitar. Action is set low and it plays very easy.

Comes with Gibson case.

$1000 shipped & Paypal'd (lower 48)

Just checking: so there is both humbucker and P-90 routing under the pickguard, new holes were drilled for the full pickguard, and the pickup wiring channel runs below the pickups (since the original pickguard would have been the 'half' guard type) ?

Yes, you can run either pickup set, just requires the large pick guard now due to widening the routes for the P90's.

Let's make it an even $1000 out the door.

Lots of pics in the link, but here's the routing.
