handmade 2 x 12" speaker cabinet for guitar or bass
11" x 25.5" x 25.5"
3/4" 5-ply marine grade plywood all around. It is stained cherry red and coated with a polyurethane finish.
cut for 2 12" speakers with mounting bolts already drilled.
No speaker output jack (that's up to you).
Grillcloth is actually wheat-colored burlap (acoustically transparent, easily repairable, and cheaper than traditional grillcloth).
The cab sounds great. When I had Jensen and Celestion speakers in it, it had deep bass and a clear sound.
This isn't a professional quality cabinet, but it is solid, sturdy, clean, sounds great, and looks really cool. The corners are butt-jointed, which means that they're butting against each other, glued with Titebond, braced on the inside with strips, and screwed tight.
