I purchased an Black Epiphone Dot about 2 years ago. It is from 2002.
The pickups are long gone and have been replaced with Schallers, The neck pickup is labeled Schaller, bridge, 8k May 1992. I think that is a Golden 50 which is considered to be one of the best PAFs. The bridge pickup is labeled Schaller neck 13k, November 1994 (I think it was November, I'll check for sure).
The bridge volume pot pulls out and will split either the bridge or neck pickup.
It is a B-stock model and there is quite a few scratches on the guitar. It does not look like someone beat the hell out of it but it looks like an older guitar. There is a small paint chip under the pickguard and another in the binding up by your arm when you play. Neither of these are visible when you are playing.
The headstock has many scratches and chips in it but none go through the paint and from 5 feet away, you can't tell a difference.
There is a very small crack by base of the neck but it is only the paint, it is not the wood.
I know I'm making it out like it beat to hell but it's really not that bad, I just feel like everything should be disclosed.
It's a $400 guitar with better pickups that are like $60 each. Because of them condition I'll say... maybe like $220 shipped? $170 for the guitar and $50 for the pickups.
