FOR SALE: Circa 1999 Carvin BK40 4-String Bass.

Originally a Carvin Kit Bass with two J pickups, it was transformed (by me) into a Music Man Stingray-like single Humbucker bass.

• Translucent White Stain on Alder with Hand Rubbed Clear Gloss Poly
• Slim Maple Neck, Tung Oil Finish, Ebony Fingerboard w/ Graphite nut
• Black Hardware: Gotoh Tuners, Hipshot Bridge with Brass Saddles
• Carefully hand-routed for Kent Armstrong High Output passive bass humbucker.
• Black Music Man Stingray Pickguard
• 3 Knobs. V - T - X (last knob is just for looks)
• Comes with a really nice Musicians Gear Black Tweed gig bag.

Great playing, great sounding bass. Big aggressive tone from the bucker. Very comfortable and lightweight. Despite being a kit bass, the action on this bass is lower than 99% bass I've ever tried. Plays fantastic. Slaps like a dream. It's served me well for many years, but I'm raising money for some other guitar equipment.

For anyone who needs a great bass, really cheap, this thing will play circles around any cheapo import bass.

- Carvin BK40 $399
- Humbucker $60
- Pickguard $25
- Gigbag $20
