FS: Celtic Diedre 30 Head

I am considering selling my Celtic Diedre 30 head in order to purchase my friend's Bogner Ecstacy. It is in absolutely mint condition (I probably have a maximum of 10 hours on it). As far as I know it is the first and only Diedre that Scott has built and you can see pictures of the amp on his website www.celticamplifiers.com. I am asking NFS for the amp including shipping so you can save (amp sells for $1250 plus about $50 shipping) and several months of waiting for a new amp to be built. I would also be willing to cut a deal if someone wants to buy the V30 loaded OS Bogner 2X12 that I am using with it.

That is an amazing beast of an amp. I ended up putting in four jacks on the dual FX loops instead of the two "stereo" ones you see in the photos. I also added a mini-toggle for taking the master on/off instead of the push/pull pot that proved to be a little cheesy feeling.

All in all, I stand behind this amp warranty-wise, so no worries there. It's heavy as heck, be warned. The trannies are monsterous. Also, even though he only has 100 posts, I'll vouch for him. The give and take on getting the amp ready and to him was a first-rate experience for me when it comes to dealing with customers. If you buy this amp, I'd be shocked if the transaction wasn't ultra-smooth.

4xEL84, 12ax7 preamp side and an EF86 preamp side. 30 watts

I don't think that there are any soundclips of this amp because I don't have any recording equipment and I don't think that Scott made any recordings of the amp before he sent it to me. Scott can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the 12ax7 side of the amp is identical to his Franklin, so you can check out those soundclips. The EF86 side sounds more like a Marshall. The Diedre is very close to a Matchless C-30 or a Bad Cat Black Cat, so the sound clips on those amps should give you a very good idea of what you would be getting.

I should add that if this amp does not sell to a forum member in 2 weeks I will be keeping the amp (I don't think that it will be going to ebay). If it does sell then I am sure that I will regret it later (or sooner); however, someone else will be VERY happy. My friend is offering me a deal that is almost too good to pass up so....

I am going to offer the same 3 day trial period that Scott offers when he sells a new amp. In the extremely unlikely event that you do not absolutely love the amp, I will refund you all of your money minus the shipping costs. Furthermore anyone who lives close to the LA/San Diego area is more than welcome to come try out the amp in person.

So one side sounds like a Marshall and the other like a Fender? Does this have 2 different input jacks? This isnt a channel switching amp is it?

no but you can use an a/b box to switch between channels. i wouldnt say its marshall/fender but there are two distinct flavors. the c30 which is what this is based on, is one of the greatest amp designs since leo and jim
