As most of you know I am getting hitched. After forking out enough money to buy a few Custom Shop Teles as of late I am broke and need some capitol to help pay for this wedding that I am paying for out of my own pocket. I am not too sad because I have my Pine Snakehead Esquire to hold me over until after the wedding. I then plan on making 08' the year for my 1st Custom Shop Piece.
That's why I am offering this Tele up for what I think is a steal.
My Tele is a 52' RI American Tele with an American Standard maple neck on it. Here's the bad part. The neck on the Telecaster has a small hairline crack just past the high E tuner. Now I have about 6 well know guys on this forum that can vouch for the neck. I have played it for 2 years as my main neck on all of my Teles. It is 100000000% perfect at staying in tune and being stable. Matter of fact I took it to have it repaired and my luthier suggested I didn't even mess with it. There are no issues with the neck at all except you see this crack. Also whoever had the body before me had some sort of crazy input jack that left two small holes that someone started to fill, but never finished. To me its not that big of a deal.
Now that's out of the way. It has been routed professionally by my luthier to have a middle Strat pickup. Also installed is a 5 way super switch that switches as outlined below.
The solid black cover are just that, covers and not some crazy EMGs or anything.
Position 1 closest to the bridge: Bridge PUP alone
Pos 2: Bridge and Middle
Pos 3: Neck and bridge
Pos 4: Middle and Neck
Pos 5: Neck only
It has been wired up with all cloth wire, switchcraft jack, CTS pots, orange drop caps and has an Electrosocket and straplocks.
Don't et the pics fool you. The guitar WILL NOT come with the Barden installed in the bridge. If you want the Barden I may sell it for $150, but probably not.You would have to do some serious begging for that. :beerchug: It will come with a really nice PUP that comes in the 52 RI. The middle pickup is a Duncan SSL-1 RWRP and the neck is an APS-1 Duncan.
Also I'll throw in the molded Fender hard case.
This is a beautiful guitar and is nice and light. I looks, plays and sounds like a dream. I see 52 RIs go for $875-$1000 on TGP all the time.
I am asking $750 for this guy shipped and paypal.
Take a peek at the pics below for details on the 2 spots I mentioned.
Maybe Butch Snyder, Blueslegend8, Andrizzle, The Guy Who Invented Fire, MikeS, gr8scott, Robert S and the likes can come on here and say how they have either played this guitar neck or at least vouch that they have seen me rip it up on this one so you'll really understand how the crack DOES NOT affect anything!
Here is the pic of the crack in the head.
