FS: DBZ Bolero FM Trans Wine

Up for sale is a very good condition DBZ Bolero FM in Trans Wine finish in a beautiful flamed maple top (which is hard to capture with a 8mp camera). I purchased it brand new 2 months ago, and still has the factory box and plastic films on back of the control plates. It looks mint, the only exception being that there is small chip on the headstock as shown in the picture. No idea when or how it happened and only discovered it as I was trying to find flaws. The chip is very small, but used the super macro zoom to get it to show up. And there are few pick marks between the pickups. But other wise, looks almost new. The neck is straight and the action is very light, plays like a dream.

Made in Korea and quality wise, I would say it's better than Dean Soltero and comparable to some of the Gibson LP studios I've played prior. This is one of their top of the range models in import series and retail for over $800.

The neck is pickup is stock and the bridge pickup Duncan CC, however that can be swapped with another pup of your choice from my collection. Both pickups can be split via tone pot. Bigger pictures are available.

Because of chip, I am letting it go for $440 shipped anywhere in US. I also add delivery confirmation and insurance. Thanks for looking.

OR $400 with the stock pickups, which are pretty decent for hard rock/metal.

Re: FS: DBZ Bolero FM Trans Wine

I had seriously contemplated buying one of them in lefty, but I can't get past the control layout. Why on earth didn't he put in the second set of controls for the volume and tone when they are staggered like that? Is there room in the cavity to add them in yourself?

Oh, and that gnarly headstock overlay? WTF was he thinking lol?

 Yeah, there's definitely room to add 2 extra pots and even a battery. Besides the two pots, the rest of area just is empty and used to coil up the extra long wires.

I also think if one was ambitious enough, the DBZ emblem could be removed. :scratchch

*edit* as far as the axe goes, they're pretty good quality for the price range, comparable ESP LTD deluxe and Schecter elite stuff, just without the extra frills and inlays. I would be keeping if I didn't have some things to pay off first. The other axes I have are either too old and cheap or too dear and primo.

options with even lowered price. less than 1/2 of retail value for something almost new.
