EHX Holy Grail Reverb: This one has the older style wooden box and all the goodies. its in great shape and comes with velcro on the bottom. $75

May Queen Booster: this is a DIY from runoffgroove.com. If i remember right our own JoeLap built this one. it is supposed to emulate a wall of cranked AC30's. it is true bypass with a bright green LED. runs off either a 9v or boss style jack. $30

Ibanez TS-9 RI: its got a few dings and no box or manual. but it is stock and begging to be modded. $60

Seymour Duncan SH-11 Custom Custom: Factory Nickel Cover & 4 wire leads. 7+ inches on lead. has just a small light scratch from stray screw driver that you really have to look to find. come in duncan box from one of my pearly gates. $50

You say it's supposed to emulate a wall of ac30s but what does it actually sound like? Is it more of a treble booster type of pedal or an overdrive?

Its not an overdrive. the only knob controls the volume. The switch removes a bit of the highs. Thats if no one modded it after I built it 2 or 3 years ago. think of it as the sound of an AC30 with a treble booster in front of it. Essentially, thats what it is anyway... a treble booster stage and than a JFET AC30 stage emulation IIRC. I love watching old pedals I built playing hot potato... glad to see they're still alive and kicking, i must have done something right. but there's only a volume knob.

Destroying Angel: also good to see someone else who uses a Boss Hyper Fuzz. I dont use mine as a main pedal but I love using it for industrial stuff and bands like 0rgy.

its a pretty wicked dirty treble booster. the gain is not controlable. but you control the amount of volume coming out of the pedal which overdrives my amp on 3 or 4 and use the 2 way switch to adjust the high end shape/rolloff and the thing cops a singing brian may tone using my neck pickups...it is very crunchy i think it clips the signal 3 or 4 times. the schematic and info is on runoffgrooves site. it would be great for stoner rock and classic rock and even metal if you are a lead player. def. a unique pedal.

i had in my pedal rig for singing distorted neck pickup leads until i got my crunch box which can do double duty from now on.

Was that SD-1 actually used by Brent Mason or is it just wired like his?

Actually used by him or so i was told in a round about way. Brian Wampler originally auctioned it off saying that a well known and also one the biggest session players had this on one of his boards til he started to favor BD-2's. he wouldnt say the name. but he went on to say this was part of the first pedals he modded for that person.

but when i got it...it says "Brent Modded" on the box.

I know what ya mean, i don't hook mine up all that often. But Orgy is the exact reason i picked it up! It's a little over the top but fun to mess around with.
