FS: Epiphone LTD ED Les Paul Special

Bought this about 6 weeks ago or so. Nice guitar, plays well, decent piece of wood for a MIC guitar (I'd recco swapping pups- stockers are a little harsh). I think these were a limited run for GC last year. I just needed a bigger neck, this has the 60s style profile. Can't say it's minty, might have scratch or small ding here or there, but it's at least a 9 out of 10. $225 shipped in con usa

P.S. might be interested in a trade for a good set of nickel covered PAF type pups (ants, Seths, PGs, BB1/2, other brands as well), or a good practice amp. LMK whatchu got.

That's a killer knock-around guitar. I love me P-90s.

They are supposed to sound a little harsh...a single coil with bite and clarity but with a full bodied tone almost like a hummer.

Man if I didn't already have a couple dozen guitars, I'd be all over that one. For sure.

What's the weight on it like?

IDK for sure Scott, I can check if our home scale is working (god I hope not, cos that means I have to get on it!). It's pretty light, alot lighter than my tele. Prolly around 7 pounds I'd say. I will LYK tomorrow.

Nah, the harshness here is just chinese pups. I've played several Gibbo P90s, including cutting my teeth on a vintage late 50s model- it's not the same type of thing. It's not horrid by any means, and for certain styles of more modern music with tons o' gain, I could see someone actually liking it.

Actually, I love harshness in a P-90. Don't particularly care for a smooth sounding one like the more "high quality" P-90's. Give me a P-90 with a hard and crunchy bite anyday (don't want it to sound like a hummer).

Hard to tell from the pics because of the flash, but you can get a glimmer of woodgrain under the finish- seems to be more prominent on the back for some reason (may be a veneer underneath like they do on the Standards)
