My father built this in his custom shop originally for me back in 2006, but by the time he finished it I became interested in more modern guitars with floyd rose and 24 frets and whatnot, so since the completion back it was sitting in a box waiting for pickups and strings to be installed before she can be played. In parallel he built another super-strat shredder (link) that I've been using ever since. I finally got a set of pickups for it and boy are they awesome. Guy named Tom Brantley (worked with Fralin and Mojotone) hand wound a custom humbucker set for me that's heavily inspired by EVH. Pickups are similar to duncan 78 and Fralin unbucker. Low-ish output, similar to PAF but having unballanced coils results in much more presence and great tone definition. Still fits the Satriani realm nicely, as he's known of playing medium output pickups that scream.
As far as the specs go, it's got a 25.5" scale, 22 frets, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Neck has modern C shape (not too thin like wizard, more like modern strats) and frets size is similar to that of Fender guitars. Then we have the awesome schaller bridge/tailpiece combo that is recessed in the body to keep the low profile feel of the guitar. The bridge also has fine tuners. Body shape is modernized strat, something like the Satriani Ibanez, but not exactly the same. What's cool about it is that it's hand pained by my painter aunt. The artwork is inspired by Egyptian hieroglyphs. Finish is nitrocellulose throughout, the artwork is clearcoated for better looks and protection. Tuners are grovers.
Here's a pic we took back in 2008 with some random pickups I had, just wanted to see how it looks all completed. The actual pickups wound by Tom look almost the same, double black bobbin with chrome pole pieces.

Other pics are taken at the time it was completed in 2006.

After installing the pickups I recorded few quick demos, one EVH and one Satch.
As far as the price goes, given the specs and effort put into it, I think that $780 sounds fair. Please note that I'd be able to ship it only after the 14th of March when I should be back in the States.
