Okay, i figure some of you may know someone looking to start out on guitar, and this could be perfect. Definitely a good affordable christmas present for someone just getting started.

Its a 1x8", 15w SS combo, with two channels. It was my first amp and certainly served its purpose well. It is in GREAT condition, it really looks brand new.

This is the model prior to the blackface cosmetics, its got a pretty rugged look with the metal speaker grille.

$50+ shipping, OBO

Wow the same first amp I ever got like 9 years ago. I can definitely say that the clean channel is acceptable, the distortion channel not so much, but good enough for a new player. Good luck on selling it.

Re: FS: Fender Frontman Amp

I got the reverb version of that little amp in my bedroom. The clean is a lot better than acceptable.

I usually keep it bright, with bass at 11, mid at 10, and treble at around 2 o clock. Reverb and volume to taste.

With humbuckers it clips fairly soon, but with single coils it really shines.

Re: FS: Fender Frontman Amp

+1 on the singles thing, i wonder if you could mod the circuit to accept hums a bit better.

Re: FS: Fender Frontman Amp

I got a 25w version w/reverb. It to has a great clean. I actually returned a Marshall MG Series POS for this to Guitar Center. Good luck selling and whoever buys it will have a very respectable practice amp.

Thanks for the input guys!!

EDIT: just a note, aesthetically, all of the corners of the amp are chrome/metal. In the pics they turned out almost looking black, but in real life theres some color on the corners to break up the black. If that really makes a difference to anyone. :)

Good 'n simple, and it does get great cleans. Pedal distortion and overdrive work out well enough, so the second channel is negligible. It's a solid little guy. I still enjoy mine. :)

Re: FS: Fender Frontman Amp

price lowered, GREAT for anyone you know who may have gotten a guitar for christmas!
