Re: FS Fender USA Strat Set & Gibson 496R & 500T

Your Fender set looks like a TexMex set. What's the DC resistance?

How did the sound change with the hex poles on the Gibson pickups (if you tried them both ways that is)?

I don't know what the DC resistance is–don't have a tool to measure it. The pickups came out of an early 2000's USA Fender Deluxe Strat (I replaced them with Fender Fat 50's for better "Bell-Like" Chime) so I don't know if they used Tex-Mex pickups in those or not (but that's not to say someone didn't swap out a loaded pickguard.)

For the Gibsons, the Hex poles slightly tightened up the tone–felt more focused. The are currently slightly staggered (not flush with the pickup) to where I thought they sounded best on the Strat I had them in. I did try them both ways and preferred them with the Hex poles rather than the Flat Heads. But I will include the original Flat Heads that came with the pickups.
