Selling my 1980's Tim Shaw/Velvet Brick PAF humbucker set to free up some cash for some purchases I need to make. Shaw's are arguably some of the finest 50's PAF clones made and the Velvet Brick sounds like a Shaw with more output, midrange bark, and sustain. It defies the stereotypical ceramic pickup qualities, and has a warm, fat vintage sound. Ink stamps on the bottoms are 681 183 (I think, pretty faded) and 402 582. Really nice and balanced outputs of 7.50K and 9.02K. These were uncovered with black bobbins when I bought them. I threw some older Gibson covers on them to complete the look on my Les Paul.
$250 shipped CONUS or trade for a set of 8 ohm 12" AlNiCo speakers. Will consider pedal trades, as well (especially Wampler).
