FS/FT Charvel Journeyman

Testing the waters, seeing what I can get. This Charvel is a GREAT axe but it's just not sitting with the 5150 as well as it did with the hughes. It has a VHPAF and locking tuners with a Wilkinson trem, phase switch. Show me anything you've got! Also, JBfromHell says his local store has 2 for 260 stock. I'll sell this for 260 shipped NOT stock.

Re: FS/FT Charvel Journeyman

You will notice some wood filler around the wilkinson. This was done because basswood is not strong enought to hold the wilkinson. It was not done to repair damage.

Ummm.... might wanna edit that for a few inaccuracies, specifically that the guitar is alder, and that the "not strong enough to hold the Wilkinson" thing is ridiculous. Who told you that?

Not even close bro!

IIRC, it is infact Basswood for the record BTW.

What you said didnt come from my mouth when I sold it to you and unless you really lost your memory, you know better. I originally fixed it when Brisk owned it. The wood behind the posts busted and there was basically nothing between the bushings and the trem cavity. This had NOTHING to do with a Wilkinson BTW. The wood must just have been weak in that area but, I dont honestly remember what the whole deal was since I fixed it when Brisk owned it 2+ years ago. I had to route the area to get a clean edge, glue in a peice of wood, plug the bushing holes, and re-drill. It most certainly is a repair. It is a quality repair and when the trem is on the guitar, the repair is not that noticeable but, you bet your A$$ it is a repair and a blind person could figure that out.

Seriously Jacob, if it is on Ebay, you better come clean and tell people the absolute truth before you get burned.

Thanks odie! I'll add exactly what you said to the listing. I'm really starting to lose my memory...that or I've had too many drugs(legal). Talk about feeling stupid:banghead:

Re: FS/FT Charvel Journeyman

I'm pretty sure those are alder.

Nah, I had to route an area as I said before and it sure was not Alder.

Well, my Jackson SL-4 is supposed to be alder too but, it is actually ash. I have also seen them in Maple. I think the jackson/Charvel plant in Japan just uses whatever they have at times. I am about 95% certain it was basswood.

Re: FS/FT Charvel Journeyman

Ok I really need over 200...I gotta get a backup quick after this is gone. Shows are starting to pile up. 250 shipped?

Nice, guitar. Glad to finally hear the real history of the wood added to strengthen.

Odie, you've gained thousands of points of respect here.

StaceshipOne. I'm, considering it, right now, but don't hold your breath. I want it bad, but just bought home another guitar last Friday night.

I was told this was a great guitar.

I'll be back in touch, or not.
