white Blazer: 1980 Blazer, mahogany body, HH route/pickguard. Loud unamplified, driven amplified tone. Basically 28 year old mahogany with a quality one-piece maple neck. White paint is a "pretty good" refinish. Prices:
  • $180 original pickups.
  • $290 with black/black Gibson 500T/496R installed, original pickups included
  • $290 with black/white zebra Seymour Duncan '59 in the bridge and black/black 496R ('59 neck doesn't come out right in that guitar, too boomy).
  • $310 with black/white '59 bridge and black/black 4-conductor SD Jazz neck
  • no case, no gigbag, but I have some I can include.

blonde Blazer: [already on hold after I took photos]

brown body: Ibanez Roadstar basswood body with what looks like a mahogany veneer. Fender-compatible neck pocket. Tremolo route is too far in front to mount vintage Fender 6-point trem. Veneer chipped around tremolo pots. Prices:
  • $40 shipped body and back tremolo cover PLUS actual shipping.
  • $45 with switch and tremolo posts as pictured PLUS actual shipping.

black pickguard: HSS pickguard for some random Ibanez roadstar that even I don't have, so I can't use it. $20 shipped or (preferred) trade for pretty much any other 1981+ Blazer or Roadstar pickguard.

red body: nitro painted one piece SIPO mahogany body. No ellbow or belly contours. Unused, neck screw holes and pickguard screw holes have not been drilled. Nitro isn't flawless but covers everything, so can be polished up. Bought for project but I'm not going to have time for it:
  • $65 shipped.
  • $75 with black pearl SSS pickguard as pictured.

Pickups:
  • pair of nickel PRS McCarty pickups, slightly aged. $110 shipped.
  • white Seymour Duncan hot rails bridge. $45 shipped. [SOLD!]
  • white Seymour Duncan little '59 for Strat bridge. $40 shipped. [SOLD!]
  • zebra Dimarzio DP-193 "Air Norton" bridge. $40 shipped.

Gear:
Pod X3 guitar/bass/vocals modeler. $270 shipped. [SOLD!]

TRADING FOR (pickups):
  • Seymour Duncan pickups
  • Lace Gold Sensors
  • EMG SA, 81 and HA
  • boutique PAF class humbuckers

TRADING FOR (other):
  • Alder body P-ish or PJ bass
  • Rocktron overdrive/distortion pedals
  • fretting and nutmaking tools
  • V-shaped neck for Strat
  • Schaller straplocks
  • Lexicon reverbs
  • Ibanez Roadstar/Blazer necks, 1981+ (21 fets) only

What do those McCarty pickups sound like?

Re: FS/FT: mahogany Strat body, 1980 Mahogany Blazer, Strat+PRS humbuckers, Pod X3

APH/57ish I'd say. Definitely on the smooth side. 7.92 and 8.82 Kohm. Splittable (three wire).

I haven't slammed them into one of my reference guitars yet, they are fresh out of the McCarty that I sold a couple weeks ago.

X3 sold, hot rails sold.

Nobody wants the little '59 for $40 shipped

I listened to the PRS pickups, they have more balls than I remember. Definitely one class about just PAFs and not as close to the APHs as I thought when I only heard them in the McCarty. $110 is a bargin for those.

More photos of the Strat body needed?

A few months ago I would have jumped on that 59. Now I have more pups sitting here to try then I need :)

Is the little 59 still available? How much wire is left? It's the black one?
PM me your paypal address if its available.

Allright, people. Photo attack.

(little '59 is sold, BTW)

This is the nitro painted mahogany Strat body. As you can see, there are imperfections in the paint, one behind the bridge and several scratch-like entities around the back tremolo route. The inside of the cutaways definetly needs some heavy-handed polishing. And you need to drill all the holes.

But hey, it's $65 shipped or $75 with the black pearl pickguard.

Or make an offer and I do actual cost shipping.

Pretty light, but I wasn't awake enough this morning to remember to weight it. I can do if you want to know.

Dimarzio DP-193 Air Norton bridge available again. It's $40 shipped for a nice shiny Zebra unbalanced coil humbucker.

This body is a basswood with mahogany peneer. Neck pocket is Fender compatible, tremolo route is not.

Will make a nice (very) light mid-attack shredder, and it's only $40 plus(!) actual shipping or $45 with tremolo posts and switch:

This is the mahogany 1980 Blazer and more detail on the refinish and the biggest bangs it got around the lower corner.

Pictured with two '59s but I can't ship with the neck creme-zebra.

But the bridge white/black '59 is very nice with the white Axe. One-piece maple neck with medium-small profile. Good frets.

* $180 with original pickups.
* $290 with black/black Gibson 500T/496R installed.
* $290 with black/white zebra Seymour Duncan '59 in the bridge and black/black 496R ('59 neck doesn't come out right in that guitar, too boomy).
* $310 with black/white '59 bridge and black/black 4-conductor SD Jazz neck
* no case, no gigbag, but I have some I can include.

Original pickups included in all combos.

How about a nice cheap beater guitar that can ROCK? 28 year old mahogany.

(don't try to turn this thing into a Strat with single coils, that didn't go so well. Flurp flurp).

And two shots of the PRS McCarty pickups. The tarnishing you see is aging, not dirt.
