Something Cool
Allright, it is always hard to let the pretty ones go. This is a 2006 special, limited edition Warwick Thumb, "Dirty Blonde". It has flamed maple neck, swamp ash back and the top is burl poplar. Ebony fretboard with bird inlay and headplate burl poplar matching the body top
Mine is labeled as #6 out of 64, but AFAIK they made a couple more later. Signed by Warwick founder Hans-Peter Wilfer.
The electronics are active 3-band EQ with a splittable humbucker, and an active/passive switch. It is very light and not head-heavy thanks to the long upper horn. Very compfortable to play for a long time, in fact by far the most comfortable I have ever seen.
Everything works perfectly, no damage.
Comes with the Warwick gigbag (yes, they don't do default cases even with expensive basses), the paper manual and some care and feeding stuff.
The strings are almost new Rotosound 66s. They lost some silk at the tuners when I switched them between basses but they are fine and only have a couple hours on them. If the silk bothers you I can put on other strings or give you a new pack.
These things do not sell often and they were very expensive new. So I'm opening this with:
$1800 shipped, paypaled in the continental US.
Trades (partial):
I am a bit fuzzy in what I like, I apologize in advance for lengthy trade negotiations. Nothing personal
The looks change a bit depending on light, so I "have to" post a couple more pics. Just to make sure you know what you are getting, right?
