FS: Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups

As the title says, I'm selling the Burstbucker #1 and #2 pickups fresh out of my two-week old Vintage Mahogany LP Studio. Chrome covers, both have well over a foot of 2-conductor lead left. How's $70 a piece or $120 for both, including shipping/Paypal to the lower 48. I'll also take USPS money orders if you'd rather go that route. I can also take pics if anyone wants to see them.

Re: FS: Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups

That is one GREAT deal.
If I hadn't just dropped $250 for a gold set, I'd be all over that.
These pickups sound great to me (am I allowed to say that on a Duncan forum?).

Re: FS: Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups

Thanks for the kind words. They won't go back in this guitar, I love the pickups that replaced them so they'll just sit unused otherwise. I'm looking to fund an aluminum tailpiece and some locking studs, so I'll consider trades for those items too. If these wind up having to go on Ebay I'll move the prices more in line with typical sales there.

Re: FS: Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups

No interest? I'll probably list these on TGP and HFC and then move on to Ebay.

Re: FS: Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups

That's two sets down and one to go in the "I just pulled my BB pros from a brand new guitar" Saga. LOL!!! Mine only lasted a few days in my VG and they were gone. All we've got left if for SoCalSteve to sell his and we're complete. FWIW, they are good pups.

Are they Burstbucker 1 and 2 or Burstbucker Pro's? Those are not the same pickups. The 1's/2's are Alnico II and the Pro's are Alnico V. Just makin' sure you're selling them as the right thing.

I've got the same guitar.....I'm curious what you replacedc them with and what music you play. Been tossing the idea of replacing mine around for a month now.....just curious

Re: FS: Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups

Burstbucker Pros are indeed labeled #1 (neck) and #2 (bridge) but they have the additional identifier of AV on the sticker to indicate Alnico 5 and differentiate them from the original AII BB's. Just FYI.

I put a C5 in the bridge and a PGn in the neck. I play mostly blues and rock, nothing extremely heavy. This guitar handles stuff like Pearl Jam and STP very well now, but still has nice cleans. This guitar sounds like the LP I've always heard in my head.
