FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

I may regret this, but I'm listing it anyways. Brand new Les Paul Studio VM, bought back in February or March I guess. It's got maybe an hour or two of playing time on it. I swapped the stock Burstbuckers for a Custom 5 in the bridge and a Pearly Gates in the neck. The Burstbuckers have already been sold off, by the way. I also changed all the black plastic parts out for creme ones, but the black ones will come along in case you want to switch back. I've also installed Schaller straplocks, and a nice leather strap will be included. I just flat out don't have time to play anymore, and I have a meeting this coming week to discuss my promotion which means I'll have even LESS time. So, this guitar sits unused in its case. I hate to see such a great sounding and playing axe go to waste like this, so I've decided to pass it on. I'll start out asking $700 shipped to the lower 48, including the OHSC. I'll accept Paypal and USPS money orders.

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

brand new - thats a beaut! I dont have the cash, but if I were you Id keep that beautiful baby for myself :beerchug:

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

I'd love to keep it, and financially it's no problem... it's just not getting played :(. It deserves to be used, and used often, by someone who will get more enjoyment out of it.

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

if i didn't already have that guitar i'd be all over it. i like the way the creme hardware looks on it though. those are great sounding axes too.

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

I'm very interested in this. Mind pm'ing me a few more up close pics of the neck?

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

Don't do something you're going to regret AJ. Work won't be hectic forever. I've watched you sell off some really nice pieces because they weren't getting "played" enough. If you're not financially strapped then keep it. Don't end up in one of those "guitars I should have kept" threads.

Shut up, man. If he wants it back later, I'll send it back. :D :bigok:

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

Sorry skully. I'd do the same thing for you bro.

and AJ, if I see the parts caster up for sale....Imma straight shake'n up some whoop....

The strat will never be sold, plain and simple. The Gibby, although a nice piece, is ultimately replaceable. I hear what you're saying, but the money can be put to better use than a case in the corner right now. Thanks bro!

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

Bump, Skully you should have your the pics you requested.

Yeah, just got them. Didn't realize I had any messages. Normally a box pops up saying I have a new message........not this time though. :/

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

No worries, I've just had some larger PMs not go through before so I wanted to make sure you actually got what I had sent :).

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

This is soooooo tempting.

Muttonchopsrule's avatar gave me gas each time I saw it....finally PM'd him to ask more about his axe.

What is the approximate weight of the guitar?

Could I also request pics of the neck, just to get an idea of the profile. Thanks

Dave

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

The guitar is pretty light as LPs go, I believe these VM models have the weight-relief holes. I don't have a scale but it's around the same weight as my strat, probably in the 8-9 pound range. I'll post the batch of pictures I sent Skully below, including two detailing the small nick this guitar had out of the box. It's got the 50's profile if I remember correctly.

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

FYI, I'll be out of town on vacation from this Friday afternoon until June 10th. Go ahead and send me a PM if you have any questions, I'll check them when I get back :).

These are the dings!? :chairfall If that's a ding, then my poor LP is Swiss Cheese.

What a cool guitar, and in such great shape! Good luck with the sale dude, I'm sure it'll sell somewhere.

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

If I didn't already have a sweet Studio in white thats faded to a nice cream and a beater black studio I'd be all over this one! I'd actually prefer this to those Smartwood Exotics I've been searching for years for.

Thanks bro :). I just like to be up front about any blemishes, what's minor to someone might be a deal-breaker to someone else.

Re: FS: Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany

I suppose I'd also consider a trade (plus $$$ as necessary of course) if anyone has something they'd like to offer up. I'm mildly interested in something like the Ibanez SA1260 and SAS36 models, mahogany body, HSS setup, 25.5" scale, etc.
