This pickup came out of an Gibson SG-X. It is a bit hotter weighing in around 15k. The double thick ceramic was replaced by a standardsized A2 from wymore (when they were still running) and a professional wooden spacer from Dave Loperena (great pickup winder here on the fourm).

Huge crunch under gain (think Pantera)
Grainy sound
Harsh cleans
Lackluster clean up

AFTER:
Nice thick crunch under med-high gain (Think Black Sabbath)
Smooth/Grainy mix
Beautiful clean sounds
Almost single coil type clean up
FYI The 500T had a double thick ceramic along with the 2 side ceramics. The A2 blends in very nicely with the 2 side ceramics and produces a very nice tone.
