FS: Peavey T-60 w/ original hard shell case

This is a clean vintage Peavey T-60 with the original hardshell case that I am selling for a friend of mine. It's in good shape for its age. I have gone through the whole guitar to look for weak solder joints or faulty electronics. It is clean. The pots are still a little scratchy but with a little more playing will be back to where they should be. It's been played and isn't a mint/unplayed piece, it has some scratches and a couple spots but it is nearly thirty years old.

Works perfectly, all original and sounds nice. Case is pretty nice as well.

Great example of a vintage PEAVEY USA made T-60 and in a gorgeous clear finish as well!

more pictures are available upon request. please pm.

Looking for $300 paypaled and shipped. Also has an amp that can go with it, don't know much about that but it is solid state early 80's peavey as well. please let me know if you would want to include the amp. I will at least have to get the price of shipping for the amp.

How much does it weigh? I played one a month or two ago and it was a beast on my back.
Does it have the feature where it splits the humbuckers as you roll the volume knobs back?

it weighs a bit but it is an oak body, not sure what the exact weight is but it is not far off from your average lp. the lower switch seen in the pictures is a phase switch but the coils do not split that I can tell. it can easily be made to do so with other pickups.

Cool guitar.

I have a T-27 with the same pickups. They auto split when you roll the tone past 7. I believe this ax will do the same.

Re: FS: Peavey T-60 w/ original hard shell case

i will have to plug it back in and try it out some more.

Re: FS: Peavey T-60 w/ original hard shell case

Agreed. The T-60 was one of the best players I've ever encountered. However, Peavey didn't have much after that IMO.

I do believe a T-60 is capable of supporting Shredders (if you can get by without a Floyd), they play that well.

I'd have bought this already if the necks on these weren't sooooo slim.

The way those pickups are wired makes them split into singles around 7 and up on the tone control. Below 7 and the other coil in engaged, and it's a humbucker the rest of the way down to 0.

In other usless Peavey trivia, this model is the first mass produced guitar to take shape entirely from CNC machining.

I've wanted one for a while, but if the neck is really skinny, I'd have to pass. I like a beefy neck.

I can take measurements of the neck if anyone is interested but it is no baseball bat. it was pretty thin for me but i like them to be an inch or more for thickness.
