FS: Peavey XXX 2x12 combo

My brother in law has this amp and is looking to sell it. He is a member of the forum, but hasn't checked in for quite awhile. His screenname is jcarlos, and he lives in the L.A. area. He's coming to visit tomorrow, and he is the one selling me the Parker Fly Deluxe.

He said he would take $500 for the amp. He played it in his house, so it's is in good condition. If there is any interest, I will notify him.

I've tried out the head version, is it the same? (I know, dumb question), but sometimes the heads and combos sound different. Also, I've heard concerns that some of these dont push the 120 Watts that they are claimed to, and sometimes sounds weak and only push around 40 watts. Is this a problem with the amp? If not, let me know and I'll surely be a buyer!

The guts of the head and the 2x12 are the same. I've never heard the concerns that these only "push" 120 watts. I own the XXX and it is more than loud enough for any gig.

I don't know. I'll ask him. Shipping from California to Vermont won't be cheap, though...it weighs about 90 lbs. It is immaculate, but you might be able to beat the deal for one locally. It'll probably cost over $100 to ship it.
