For Sale: My mutt re-creation of Pete Townsend’s “Live Aid” goldtop Schecter PT.
Nice light guitar with good natural tone. The 59 set gives the guitar a Jimmy Page vibe, especially with the phase a tap switches. Not a museum piece, although the goldtop bodies are hard to come by. This is a workhorse player’s guitar with great tone and versatility.
$500 plus actual shipping & insurance to your location.
- Schecter MIK body, goldtop, top ivory binding. Back stained dark reddish brown. Few finish chips on the back edge of the lower bout behind the jack plate, and on the bass-side back edge of the upper bout. Overall, light play wear, nowhere near “reliced”. (The white spot on the body close-up is a reflection, NOT arm wear.)
- Fender 2001 MIM maple neck. Graphtec nut and pro setup. Fender modern-style tuners. Beginning to show some grey wear spots. Neck pocket professionally modified to accept standard Tele neck.
- Chrome 6-saddle modern-style bridge.
- Seymour Duncan 59 pickups. Wired with two volume controls and two push/pull switches: one split the bridge pickup and the other reverses the pickup phase.
