Screamin Demon (MJ wound) Lead is around 3-4" long. Some cosmetic wear but works perfectly

$50 or trade for a Jerry Donahue Tele bridge pup

Damn I wish the leads were long enough so I could use this in the neck of my Strat.

I haven't bumpt this in a while because there had been no interest - so I am taking that as a sign from a higher power to keep it. I am going to try it out as a neck pup in an upcoming Tele build with a Seth bridge

Re: FS/T MJ Screamin Demon

Well, since you're no longer selling, it's no longer disruptive to commerce to butt in with silly n00b questions, right? Sooo... What's this MJ? Is this an SD Clone, then, or a special edition of some sort?

...or is it made of hemp? Lol hope not, I'm allergic, and I kinda liked Demons in theory and wanted one in my next build.

PS note 2 AgileGuy: you CAN extend leads, it's only as complex as soldering any other two wires together. And, for strat use without coil tapping, it just involves extending 2 of the leads. Also, a Screamin Demon in strat neck? What's in bridge then, a Dimebucker or X2n???

No, MJ refers to the winder, Maricela Juarez, who now runs the custom shop along with Seymour Duncan's son (his name escapes me at the moment).

Re: FS/T MJ Screamin Demon

That a girl, with a big name in this business?! Or a dude whose parents would have really done im a favour if they just named him Marcus or something instead?

So, basically, what, this is like a more premium version of the pup? How much more premium are we talking when new, like Antiquity pricing? Or the original 59 gibbies or Super 70s prepacked for EVH fanbois on ebay kinda premium pricing?

Re: FS/T MJ Screamin Demon

Maybe a $10-15 premium. They're not that uncommon, as Duncan was a much smaller company back in the 80's, so pickups were given a sticker with the winder's initials on the baseplate.

I don't know that people really pay any appreciable premium for an MJ pup, but her reputation preceeds her as a master at the craft.

Damn I wish the leads were long enough so I could use this in the neck of my Strat.

And now that I pulled the sale (and extended the leads to go in as a neck pup in a pine Tele build) I get some nibbles. C'est la vie

Cool... useful to know.

And this industry needs all the elite craftswomen it can get, if you ask me, some stuff out there could really benefit from a gentler, more thorough, feminine touch.
