Designed as a tube PA amp, this amp easily doubles as a fantastic guitar or bass head. It has that sweet and warm tube tone and plenty of volume on tap; this amp has a huge amount of head room at an underrated 50 watts from the power tubes (EL34 or 6CA7s). This amp can throw down with the loudest of them.
I had originally bought this to modify but I have not had any time to do so and I am getting ready to do some major renovations; it is time to make some room. I believe this is one of the FUCHS team's favourite amps for modifcation purposes. That said, this amp sounds great clean and with an overdrive/distortion pedal.
They are a favourite for modifications as they have plenty of 1/4 inputs and outputs as well as four input channels, each with with seperate volume controls, and a master volume. Design wise they are basically a Bass Master (with different circut values) but have an additional preamp tube (a total of four 12ax7s) and the output transformer is tapped for 3 settings: 4 and 2 ohm loads a third setting for what I believe is 8 ohms.
It has some cosmetic damage but is in great shape for almost turning 40 years old. It works great and sounds better. The amp does not come with any tubes but the preamp sleeves are included. I am looking for $375.
