for sale:
- 1984 Gibson Tim Shaw PAF Reissue, stamped code 372 1284 => SOLD

this is the first PAF reissue pickup that Gibson made, people usually called it Tim Shaw PAF.
Tim Shaw was Gibson employee at that time (now he works for Fender), the one who designed the pickup.
Gibson want to reissue that famous PAF pickups from the 50s, and asked Tim Shaw to make pickup that similar to those old days PAF
so Tim Shaw done a lot of research about the pickup to find the ingredients.
but unfortunately, Gibson didn't want to pay the price to make exact copy of PAF and forced Tim Shaw to use cheaper material.
but despite all of that, Tim Shaw still managed to make nice sounding pickup that resemble the vintage PAF.

Tim Shaw PAF have several marks that distinguish it from other pickup from that era.
two white plastic spacer instead of maple, Alnico V magnet, and the easier one was specific codes that stamped at the bottom of the baseplate.
well, not all Tim Shaw PAF had those stamp code and some other pickups also had similar format code stamped at the baseplate.

this pickup has 372 1284 stamped code (first three digit a little bit faded, but still quite visible). the last three digits tell the month and production year (1284 = December 1984). while the first three code will identify the pickup whether it's a Tim Shaw PAF or not. also determine the position in the guitar, odd number = bridge pickup, even = neck pickup.
372 was one of code that identified as code for Tim Shaw PAF.
you will find info about this code things on various guitar forums (if I'm not mistaken, Ron Kinkade of Skatterbrane Pickup was one of the people who identified the codes and posted it on the forums).

the pickup is still in good condition, considering its age (more than 30 years old!) with more than 10" wire left.

I will ship the pickup from Indonesia, using registered airmail (you can trace it online on local Post Indonesia website).
usually it will take from 2 to 4 weeks time to arrive on its destination (depending on postal traffic, weather condition, customs clearance, etc).
if you want a faster shipping time, we can use Express Mail Service (EMS), it's a little bit expensive. every country has different rate. for example to US, please add another $15.
I will combine shipping if you buy more than one item, to minimize postage cost.
check out my other listings. I'm downsizing my humbucker collections since I've been 'moving' to single-coil territory lately.

ask me if you have any question.
as is, no return.

(I listed this item on several other places too (eBay, Reverb, few guitar related forums), cheaper price in here since I don't have to pay fees)

update:
- I just found out that the mounting screws were little bit loose, so seems that it need some work out. so, I'm lowering the price because of this condition.
I can worked it out by attaching nut on the mounting ear to fastened the screws. you'll get screws and mounting springs. thanks
