FS...yes, you read that right...The Punisher.

INTENSELY corrosive sweat
I'll get some pics of up of it this Sunday, hopefully. Still trying to cut down on the debt and finish up some other projects.

For those of you that don't know, this is a USA Hamer Standard Custom, special ordered with the control setup, the ridiculous top, and Punisher inlays. Along with it comes the COA, Order Sheet, receipt from Thorn Custom Inlays (Hamer didn't have the capability so they farmed it out to Ron Thorn, the best, to get it done), and licensing paperwork from Marvel Comics authorizing the one-time-use of the Punisher likeness for this guitar.

It hurts to let it go (and I'm not really motivated to sell it...) but I will. I will ship internationally but I'll have to get you a quote.

3k shipped in the lower 48.

The stock Schaller bridge and black knobs will go back on and I can pull the chrome plates (just sitting on top of the stock pup rings) should you want me to. The big Jackson bridge on there right now just dropped down onto the stock posts so there's no permanent mods. Personally, I like the look.

Re: FS...yes, you read that right...The Punisher.

I bet you could sell that to some huge Jenna Jameson fan.

Re: FS...yes, you read that right...The Punisher.

Holy ****... I remember seeing this on another forum (perhaps the Dean forum?) years ago. Killer back then and still killer now. Bummer that you gotta sell - definitely one to keep if you can, especially since Hamer has closed shop now! Wish I had the cash.

Re: FS...yes, you read that right...The Punisher.

Thanks for the concern, Grump.

I'm doing fine; I'm just having to rethink priorities at this point in my life. I still play (badly) but it's usually on the same 2 or 3 guitars and this isn't one of them-I've always been afraid to screw it up.

That, and I could use the money elsewhere.

Grumpcat made me choke on my oatmeal cookie I started laughing so hard!!! :eek5: :headbang:

Re: FS...yes, you read that right...The Punisher.

It's not just a guitar. How've you never heard of Marvel Comics?

Re: FS...yes, you read that right...The Punisher.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

3k is very good for a guitar like this (perhaps even undervalued, knowing what went into a Hamer). People here in Au flog those sh!tty 70s Strats with 20lb bodies and 3 bolt necks for that much.

An admin should nuke this thread. This is highly inappropriate.

I've sorta heard of Marvel as a brand of some sort in US comics, but that's just growing up here, and I have ZERO clue as to what a Punisher is... don't even know what side he/she/it played for, white or black hat wise.

Most of the rest of the world has NO IDEA that americans even have comics. Superman, maybe, perhaps Batman - but very likely unaware it's ever been anything but a movie franchise. God knows none of my customers or friends back home would know or care, except maybe the superman thing, but in a "dude this emblem means I think *I* kick as.s enough to wear capes" or "this here symbol means I have a 15-inch... uhm, yeah" sense, not because they're fanbois.

Depending where you're from, the comic heavyweights of the globe are either J Manga or French stuff like Tintin/asterix/whatever. American stuff's just in America :)

trade you three kids and a wife and even throw in a kidney! Dude, a Hamer standard with blck flame or quilt top has always been my dream axe. I cried when Hamer closed.

Marvel is HUGE, dude. And definitely not "Just in America." Where are you from? How have you never heard of Spiderman? Or X Men? How about the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America or the Fantastic Four?

By the way, Superman and Batman are DC characters. Not Marvel.

And this is coming from someone who really isn't a comics guy.

I have. Sort of, not to the point of differentiating which one's which brand.... but most people I know haven't heard of it. It's just English-speaking countries for the most part.

...not that I'd get into reading that. Too immature, too much black & white morality and idiot do-goodery, and way way too simplistic.

You want a heroics-premise graphic novel that'll pull you through the entire spectrum of existing emotions, brutally, time and again, and might just make you blast through 10k pages, yes ten thousand, in one sitting??? Go read GANTZ. And by next year, you won't remember who the Punisher was, either.
