FT: Fender USA HM Strat

25's Nemesis
Hey all.

I've come to the realization that I'm just not a shred stick guy. As a result, the HM Strat isn't getting much play time, so I'd rather see it go to someone who will play it, and maybe get something more appealing for myself.

Here's what I know about it:

25" scale
24 frets
Smaller than-a-strat body
Khaler Spyder trem (looks, acts, and feels pretty much like a Floyd)
Fender Delta tone system (very nice feature, IMHO)
rosewood on maple neck
Turquise finish w/ a black headstock
Jumbo frets

As far as pickups go, y'all are lucky I'm a pickup whore. It'll ship with either a Fast Track 1 or 2 in the neck, the stock single in the mid, and either a C5 or a PATB-1/Demon Hybrid in the bridge. If you don't care about the poles lining up, I could throw in a regular spaced Air Zone in the bridge, your choice.

This thing is in 9 out of 10 condition, and comes with the original HS case and all the case candy.

The case is pretty beat, but it latches closed and protects the guitar very well.

It sounds and plays great, but my hand cramps when chording from the very flat fingerboard radius.

At this point, I'm considering a straight trade for pretty much anything of comparable quality.

Some of the more interesting MIJ Fenders, PRS CE's, Gibson Studios and Nighthawks, American Standard Fenders, and Hamer Studios and Specials are what I'm interested in. Czech Deans are cool too. Oh yeah, Carvins are fair game too. ;)

Hit me up and make an offer!

Re: FT: Fender USA HM Strat

How many of these do you have? ;)
I had one I didnt play much and wished I'd never let it go now. Cool axe from a cool time.

Just the one.

I agree, it's a fantastic guitar, but the neck shape just doesn't jive with my hands. I can shred stupidly fast on it, but I get tired playing chords on it, which makes it very much a one trick pony for me.

It's a shame though, as its got one of the best true strat sounds i've heard coming from a shred stick.

More details to come tonight when I see the manual.

Neck is straight as an arrow, the frets are pretty much new and even, and the action is low and buzz free with D'Addario stainless steel 9's.

If anyone wants pics, PM me your email and I'll send them to you.
