it's a cool pickup, but not for me*sorry mark!* it's dark, hot, thick, compressed, all that good stuff. it's great for metal, hard rock, riffage, has good note separation, all the things you've heard about the alt.8. i've had it in my SG, and it's just not right for that guitar, or any of my other guitars really. it'd be a great pickup for a bright guitar.
i can send it to you with your choice of alnicos 2,4,5, and 8, and either single or 4 conductor. currently, it's got a5 and 4 conductor. it's a black/black w/logo, no cover.
