FT: Mesa Boogie Stiletto Ace 50w Head

I want to trade my Mesa Stiletto Ace 50w head for an Orange Rockerverb 50 mki with 6v6's. I would throw in some cash as well.

Tell me about the Stiletto Ace. I saw Al Dimeola a few years back in the Return to Forever shows and saw Stilletto heads. Were these the same ones as yours? Had a much higher gain tone than I thought these were supposed to have.

The ones you most likely heard are stage 2 Stiletto's, like mine. All Ace heads are stage 2. The Deuce and Trident Stage 1 received too many complaints about not having enough gain, so Mesa created the Stage 2 enhancing the overdrive capabilities of the Deuce and Trident while introducing the option for a 50w head - the Ace.

A lot of people discredit Stiletto's. Nobody ever mentions the ACE. Which is funny because it's a great amp. Has good cleans and a great overdrive sound. It's hard to describe but it's definitely Marshall-ish sounding.

It happens to be my 2nd favorite head I've ever played through, with the Orange Rockerverb 50 MKI being my number one. That's the only reason why I'm trying to get rid of the ACE.
