so I bought a Fretlight and practiced blues :) ok, maybe a little rock too. Also, using my Keeley modded Proco Rat2 on the 3-triode setting with my Black Arts Pharaoh pushing it. Let me know what you think, I am always looking to improve if you have any constructive criticism, ROCK ON!!! :beerchug:

One to add to the SDUGF group over there for sure. Displays just the right amount of attitude with a hint of bar brawl sleeze...

Yes! that is it with maybe some brass knuckles :headbang:

...for the life of me I cannot figure out how to add songs to the SDUGF group, I think the Soundcloud admin took away that priveledge from me or somethin ;) at one point I thought I figured out how to do it but have not been able to since...

sludgy. Tasty sludge.

It shouldn't be too tricky. Click on the icon with two heads on it, and you should see a drop-down with all the groups you are part of in it, then just click on the one you wish to add it to.

Re: "Full Moon Blues" ...change of pace, heavy blues song

Any time. Just curious, but how far north of Austin are you? I'll be back in March for SXSW again.

Re: "Full Moon Blues" ...change of pace, heavy blues song

I live in Northwest Austin near Cedar Park, but its not a bad drive to downtown. passes for SXSW are too expensive for me but I try to find some good free shows after work.

Wow that is cool you are going to South by Southwest, what a journey! We should grab a beer or something.

Re: "Full Moon Blues" ...change of pace, heavy blues song

It's a bit of a trek, but it'll be easier this year, as BA have a direct flight to Austin starting on May 3rd, so I can do it with just one stop, and crucially, avoid Jeddah - the worst airport I have ever been through.

hey bud, SXSW tickets are really expensive, there are some details here:

http://sxsw.com/attend

it is a whole week of bands, too much for me really but most people get the badges and are there for work seminars etc and the companies pay for the badge :)

Holy Crap ... man, that's crazy!

I played all over Austin back in the eighties but they didn't have anything like SXSW back then. I have never been. I guess I would have to wonder the streets looking for something free and just check out a few clubs.

Is there a schedule in the paper or something where you can find out who plays where and when?

Hi Lazarus,

it is pretty tough to navigate too! I remember that last year that same website listed bands and venues, but that times and venues were switched around.

I went to my favorite venues and checked out bands.

Stubbs usually has bigger concerts that are free

Venues like Red7, Emos, Mowhawk have some free shows or cover is $10 or $20

Also Zilker Park may have free shows, that is where ACL generally is this weekend http://austintexas.gov/fullcalendar

there are awesome bands that play at various venues around the entire downtown, so tracking what is where can be tough! cheers :)
