The sweep is NOT overly fast and it it very controllable. In fact it seems to me that the Clyde has more travel and control than a Vox Wah Wah. I love my Clyde...I think it's the best wah wah I've ever owned and I've owned quite a few of the original Vox Wahs from the 60's. Lew

I love the Clyde Deluxe. It costs about $265, but you're done with wah shopping once you own one. Being a cheapass, I found mine new/used for $200 shipped. hehe
The sweep seems very wide and vocal to me. There's a pot that shifts the frequencies 3 ways. One is trebly/quacky (Shaft) which is good for clean funk, then the standard Vox sound (Jimi), and then the (Wacked) setting, which is growly and deep, and is my favorite for lead highgain settings....think Jerry Cantrell/Alice. Also, the pedal has a rotary volume pot, so you can decide how the effected volume sits, compared to the dry sound.
I love Fulltone pedals.

You'll like it. Before that wah, I've had a vintage Crybaby, modern Crybaby, Mr. Crybaby Super, Vox, Budda Bud Wah, and then the Fulltone. No comparison. I will say the Mr. Crybaby Super was a good pedal that Dunlop should have never discontinued. In off mode, it doubled as a volume pedal. If the Fulltone did that, it'd be the perfect wah pedal.

So, you've never owned the Teese Picture Wah? Maybe you've played through it...if you have, please give me a comparison. A fair, un-biased comparison backed only by your desire to share your experiences to benefit others.

I've briefly heard the Teese's, and they're top notch, but the Clyde Deluxe does more, so it's more useful. They're all really good, and honestly, you only use wah a few times in a set, so most of the high quality ones will do the job fine.
I just don't like wahs that aren't true bypass and shave off my high end, and also don't care for the Morley types.......just personal preference.

I recently picked up a Clyde Standard. It rules...I'm sorta jonesin for the deluxe though.... I tried the clyde against a couple of Teeses and for me the Fulltone was the clear winner...just cooler sounding overall. It was clear as day to me when I A/B'd them...mmmm...deluxe....

I think the Clyde Standard would've been just fine for me too...because I never use the other two settings on my Clude Deluxe anyway! Never use the Wakked or Shaft settings...just Jimi, which is the setting you have with your Clyde Standard. Lew
