I'm looking at anyone with any experience between these 2 pedals. Compare and contrast, positives and negatives, etc. I've watched all the available Youtube reviews on both and gone to both manufacturer websites for descriptions. Thanks for any comparison opinions anyone has.

I'm digging up an old post but I'm also interested in one of these 2 toys. I'm fancying the OCD as a friend has had one for a while and though he doesn't use it all the time, he won't give it up.
I've seen a number of posts about the OCD and seems you either love 'em or hate 'em. I'm going to visit GC tonite and play around with one using my guitar and see what I get out of it but I'm open to the opinions of the guitar gods here.

I've used them both. OCD is a very good drive pedal with a little Marshall flavor. Decent amount of gain, but won't get you into metal territory. Has a bit of a scooped focus, and I know some people complain that it won't cut through, but wasn't an issue to me. Very touch sensitive. I no longer have mine, but have mostly good things to say about it. For the $, very tough to beat and fairly versatile.

Sweet Honey is a little different. Doesn't have the amount of gain that the OCD does, but enough for me. Also very touch sensitive. Doesn't have a tone control, but it's voiced so nicely, I don't feel it really needs one. It's a very good pedal by itself, but to me, it's absolutely incredible pushing other drive pedals (all set at lower to mid gain levels)...truly sweet, and for this reason alone, it's a keeper. I've heard some people say it's a bit bright, but again, not to me. It's on my board.

If making sure you've got a good amount of gain is important, then check out the OCD. It wouldn't be a bad place to start (and very likely stay). Around $100 on the used market. If you've got other drive pedals on the board and/or a ton of gain isn't important, look for a used CB-version Sweet Honey. In the event that either doesn't work for you, the $ should be recouped pretty easily.
