Funk Jam

Re: Funk Jam

This time, the new stringed Ibanez RG2570 with a Air Norton/Breed setup..man long time ago I played the Ibby but I like it! Much darker than the Yamaha soundwise.

Stole some Frank Gambale/Shawn Lane/Andy Timmons licks...too good :D

Fantastic! I would buy your music and I'm not into fusion! I love the sound of your setup. You got class. Please tell me the amp you used.

Re: Funk Jam

As always, awesome man :) I am gonna move away from all my rock stuff and go over to some Fusion as well I think :)

Re: Funk Jam

Thank you! Too kind, really!

I used the MI Audio Tube Zone into the Engl Screamer and through the T.C. G-Major for reverb, compressor and delay fx.

Cheers! :)

Re: Funk Jam

You used to have an RG2550, right? Whats the difference between that and then 2570? I am finishing up a RG1570 custom project and it'll have a maple neck with ebony board on it. I wonder if that will make the sound of the Breed a tad brighter than a maple neck with rosewood. I dig the voicing, just not the dark tone too too much. AN sounds great in the neck, as always.

Re: Funk Jam

An interesting composition. I like the addition of organs and the funk guitar in the background, there's something to it.

Re: Funk Jam

Thanks mates!

BluesGuyJ: I've always owned a 2570, for almost 6 years now :) Never had a 2550. The only difference is that the 2550 has a pickguard and the 2570 doesn't have one. My Ibby sounds indeed dark. I used my Yamaha SA2200 exclusively for a while and I heared the difference immediatley. An ebony fretboard could compensate the dark-ish vibe a bit but I'm no expert!

Dziekuje bardzo, Markk! To byl tylko jeden backing track, nie moja kompozycja :)
