FUNK song

I liked the smooth clean tone you had going there....(mind you I have crummy speakers here at work so it probably sounds even better at home on real speakers) and I was diggin' the jazz/funk lead...nice smooth sound...

one criticism (I hate doing this but you asked!! lol), the vibrato was a bit too fast and shallow for my liking..that's just a personal preference though...

you used your flextone to record direct I'm assuming? I just did a clip with my Vetta II...mind you I didn't tweak the tone for the direct outs..it sounds better comming out of the speakers than the translation to the pc via direct recording, but it'ts not too too bad...

i used guitar port actually :)

yeah the vibrato comes from too much shredding that i just got outa recently, im trying to focus on melodic stuff instead

trying anyway ;)

Re: FUNK song

damn, just as you get into shredding I'm trying to start it. It was mainly your clips that made me want to start. By the way I see that you removed most of the shredding/soloing clips. I think you should repost them as I think plenty of people enjoy them. Just my thoughts. Good job man

Re: FUNK song

Hey man I am much more into this style of playing than the shredding stuff - I love the lead sound on that funky ditty. I actually like the vibrato as well - I think anything slower, which can be really nice, would not fit the tempo of that grove. Nice!
